Parade of Lights

Float Guidelines

  • All entries should be lighted and have a Christmas theme
  • Please do not use a Santa Claus theme as Santa is our guest of honor and will be riding at the end of the parade
  • For safety reasons, entrants are not allowed to throw candy. If you would like to make a candy donation, it will be handed out with Santa

Parade Instructions

No fee is required to join the Parade of Lights. The parade takes place through the Downtown Crete area on the Saturday evening of Country Christmas weekend. Line up begins at 5:30 PM on Crete Boulevard. From Main Street in Crete, turn east on Burville Road and parade officials will direct you toward your line up spot on Crete Boulevard. Please do not turn onto Crete Boulevard directly. Parking will be available on surrounding streets.
